Formed in Washington, D.C. in 1992, Sorry About Your Daughter emerged from the city’s independent underground with a volatile blend of alternative rock and post-hardcore. The band built its reputation through relentless touring and intense live performances, releasing two albums—Aquarium Center (1994) and Face (1996)—both recorded at Inner Ear Studios with legendary producer Don Zientara (Fugazi, Bad Brains). Their videos received international airplay on MTV Europe and MuchMusic, while Aquarium Center was reissued in Germany by Edel/Marlboro Music. After disbanding in 1997, SAYD reunited for a sold-out 2019 show in Columbia, Maryland. In 2026, the band returned for its first European tour in 30 years, followed by a one-night-only U.S. performance celebrating the 30th anniversary of Face.
